The physical winger is at two goals, seven assists, 15 shots on net, 92 hits, 18 PIM and a plus-8 rating across 20 playoff appearances.

The 23-year-old Podkolzin snapped his eight-game point drought in the process. While the scoring slump hasn't cost him a spot in the lineup, he has found himself in a bottom-six role lately. The winger has seven points, 11 shots on net, 79 hits, 18 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 17 playoff outings.

  • Oilers' Vasily Podkolzin: Helpers in consecutive contests

Podkolzin notched an assist and seven hits in Friday's 7-4 win over the Kings in Game 3. Podkolzin has a helper in each of the last two contests. The 23-year-old forward has added 14 hits, two shots on net and 10 PIM over three playoff contests. He hasn't consistently been in the top six during the postseason, and that will limit his ability to get on the scoresheet regularly. Podkolzin still offers some fantasy appeal for his toughness, but don't expect steady scoring.

  • Oilers' Vasily Podkolzin: Logs assist in defeat

Podkolzin picked up an assist and two shots on goal in just 8:37 of ice time in Thursday's 4-3 loss against the Panthers. Podkolzin picked up an assist on Brett Kulak's first-period goal to get himself on the scoresheet, but the former Canuck has struggled to tickle the twine this year. The 23-year-old Podkolzin has just six goals on the season and none in his past 15 games, a far cry from where many thought he could be after the immense potential he displayed in his age-20 season, as he racked up 14 goals. However, with 21 points so far, Podkolzin is on pace to set a new career high in overall scoring, and his physical game has really ratcheted up. The 2019 first-round pick has logged 14 hits across the past four games, and he is on pace for over 180 for the season.

Podkolzin recorded an assist, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks. Podkolzin helped out on a Jeff Skinner tally in the third period. Those two wingers got a look on Leon Draisaitl's line after both had seen bottom-six usage recently. The helper ended a six-game slump for Podkolzin, who has seen a large portion of his time in a second-line spot this season. He's reached the 20-point mark for the first time since 2021-22 and has added 81 shots on net, 118 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-8 rating over 54 appearances.

  • Oilers' Vasily Podkolzin: Two points in Saturday's win

Podkolzin delivered a goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-3 win over Chicago. It was the former Canuck's first multi-point effort since Dec. 12. Podkolzin is seeing some top-six minutes at even strength, always a plus on a roster with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, and he's contributed two goals and eight points over the last 14 games. Without power-play time, however, that level of production might be Podkolzin's ceiling.

The winger opened the scoring at 17:34 of the first period, adding a goal to his five assists over 22 outings this season. He's also produced 52 hits, 31 shots on net, 11 PIM and a minus-1 rating. • Oilers' Vasily Podkolzin: Snaps seven-game point drought

Podkolzin picked two apples Tuesday in a 5-2 win over Ottawa. Podkolzin snapped a seven-game point drought with the helpers and looked like a natural playing with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. The winger has high-end potential and could become a fantasy star if he can show some consistency with the Oilers' big two. He'll need to start shooting more, though -- Podkolzin hasn't scored a goal since the 2022-23 season, and he has just 27 shots in 20 games this campaign. Still, it was a big game for the talented winger, who was plus-2 and had two takeaways, three hits and three blocks.

In Friday's game, Podkolzin saw a season-high 14:09 of ice time, though he's been seeing second-line usage at even strength for a few games. The 23-year-old winger has nine shots on net, 20 hits, four PIM and a minus-1 rating over eight appearances, adding a little toughness to the lineup, though he'll likely end up in a bottom-six role again at some point.
