NFL International Schedule: Vikings to Play Back-to-Back International Games

Player Outlook
Addison is worthy of consideration in Round 7 0r 8of full PPR leagues as a WR3 with weekly upside, but he won't start playing until Week 4 at Pittsburgh after he was handed down a three-game suspension in early August. He will then have a bye in Week 6, so beware that Addison will play all of two games for your Fantasy team through nearly the first half of the Fantasy schedule. However, if you're the patient type, Addison figures to be well worth his ADP. When he's been on the field, Addison has been one of the best TD scorers in the league at wide receiver with 19 touchdowns on his first 207 targets. That 9.2% rate is probably not sustainable, but we said the same thing going into last year and he finished the season as a major red-zone threat. Addison has averaged between 13 and 14.2 PPR points per game in his first two seasons, but we expect a small step back from that if Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson both play 17 games. The only other concern is first-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who isn't a sure thing as far as passing professionally goes. In Dynasty leagues, view Addison as a solid WR2 who could have a bright future as a WR1 if he's ever separated from Jefferson.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Hauls in three passes Saturday

Addison (suspension) caught three of four targets for 33 yards in Saturday's 20-10 preseason win over the Texans. The third-year wideout was the top downfield option for J.J. McCarthy on Minnesota's opening drive, before both players checked out of the contest. Addison is facing a three-game suspension to begin the regular season (he's allowed to play in the preseason), but the chemistry he's establishing with McCarthy now should serve him well when he's eligible to make his 2025 debut in Week 4 against the Steelers. Addison hauled in 63 passes for 875 yards and nine TDs over 15 regular-season contests last year, and similar production should be achievable if McCarthy holds his own in his first NFL campaign.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Receives three-game suspension

The NFL announced Tuesday that Addison has been suspended the first three games of the 2025 regular season for violating the league's Substances of Abuse Policy, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Addison's suspension relates to a 2024 DUI citation which he resolved legally in July, receiving a fine and probation. The third-year pro now will need to wait until Week 4 against the Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 28 to make his regular-season debut, though he'll remain eligible to participate in training camp and preseason contests. Addison's position in 2025 fantasy drafts figures to take a hit with his suspension official, though the three-game penalty is in line with the NFL's general response for such violations of the substance abuse policy. While Addison will resume operating as Minnesota's clear No. 2 receiver behind Justin Jefferson (hamstring), who is currently not practicing, once he's back in the lineup Week 4, there are real uncertainties about his path to consistent target involvement. In addition to a possible slow start after his suspension, Addison faces competition from both Jefferson and TE T.J. Hockenson (now further removed from the ACL tear that delayed his season debut in 2024), plus the potential for inconsistency from second-year QB J.J. McCarthy.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Gets fine and probation in DUI case

Addison, who had a trial for his 2024 DUI citation Tuesday in a Superior Court of California, pleaded to a lesser offense and will pay a fine and be on probation according to his representation, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. With Addison's court case now complete, the NFL likely will weigh in soon on a possible suspension. Even though he pleaded to a lesser charge, he still could face discipline since the NFL's substance-abuse policy has a baseline punishment for a first-time DUI offense of a three-game suspension.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Beginning jury trial

Addison's jury trial stemming from a 2024 DUI citation begins Tuesday, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports. Adam Schefter of ESPN notes that a three-game suspension would be in line with NFL precedent in the event Addison is convicted. The league can apply a lower standard than criminal courts, which means even if he isn't convicted, he may not avoid NFL punishment. For the time being, Addison's availability for the start of the regular season is up in the air.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: DUI trial set for July

Addison's jury trial for a DUI citation will commence on July 15 after a June 16 hearing to set the Superior Court of California schedule, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports. Addison pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence after authorities found him asleep behind the wheel of a car on a Los Angeles freeway on July 12, 2024, according to CBS Minnesota. Addison could face discipline from the NFL if he's found guilty, as the NFL's substance-abuse policy has a baseline punishment for a first-time DUI offense of a three-game suspension, Pro Football Talk reports. It's possible Addison's punishment from the NFL will be lengthier if he's found guilty should the league also take into account that he pleaded guilty to a 2023 misdemeanor speeding charge after being cited for driving 140 miles per hour in Minnesota. It sounds like a verdict in the DUI case could be announced at some point later this summer or early fall, which means Addison could potentially face discipline from the NFL during the 2025 season.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: WRs to Start

Addison is closing the season strong, and he should stay hot in Week 18 at Detroit. He scored at least 13.3 PPR points in six of his past seven games, including four in a row, and he reached at least 18.9 PPR points in three outings over that span. He was held to three catches for 66 yards on four targets in Week 7 against the Lions, but Detroit is No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. Look for Addison, Justin Jefferson and potentially Jalen Nailor to all do well in this matchup, with Jefferson and Addison as must-start options.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Impressive touchdown grab

Addison recorded six receptions on eight targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-25 win over the Packers. Addison continued to play a key complementary role to Justin Jefferson in the offense, with this performance marking his fourth straight game with at least eight targets -- a mark he hit only three times across his first 10 contests of the campaign. He made the most of the looks, first catching a pair of key passes that each went for 13 yards to set up Minnesota's first score of the game. Addison then made a trip of his own to the end zone on a nice diving catch from 13 yards away on the team's first offensive possession of the second half. Addison is closing the season strong by tallying at least six receptions in four of his last six games.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: WRs to Start

Addison has faced the Packers three times in his career, and he scored at least 21.4 PPR points in two of those games. That includes Week 4 when he had three catches for 72 yards and a touchdown on four targets, along with a 7-yard rushing score. He comes into Week 17 having scored at least 13.3 PPR points in five of his past six games, with six touchdowns over that span, and he has 29 targets in his past three outings. Addison should be considered a solid No. 2 Fantasy receiver in all leagues.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Snags eighth TD on Sunday

Addison had five receptions on eight targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 win over Seattle. Addison's fantasy performance was overshadowed by Justin Jefferson's massive 10-144-2 receiving line Sunday, but the former still produced worthwhile numbers for all intents and purposes. The 22-year-old Addison upped his cumulative production to 56-806-8 in 13 games played this season, providing a solid No. 2 option for quarterback Sam Darnold in Minnesota's potent offense. Addison should be in the starting conversation in most fantasy formats ahead of next Sunday's tilt against Green Bay.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Co-leads team in catches

Addison secured seven of nine targets for 63 yards in the Vikings' 30-12 win over the Bears on Monday night. Addison tied Justin Jefferson for the team lead in receptions on the night while checking in second behind his teammate in both receiving yards and targets. The talented second-year wideout got off to a hot start, as four of his catches came during two first-half possessions. Addison has logged 21 targets over his last two games and parlayed them into 196 receiving yards heading into a Week 16 road battle against the Seahawks where he should be busy once again.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Career-high TD total in win

Addison secured eight of 12 targets for 133 yards and three touchdowns in the Vikings' 42-21 win over the Falcons on Sunday. Addison led the Vikings across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets, narrowly edging Justin Jefferson by one in the first two categories. The second-year wideout's season had been considered largely disappointing until three games ago, when Addison turned in an 8-162-1 line against the Bears at Soldier Field. Sunday's performance saw Addison establish a new single-game career high in touchdown catches with scoring receptions of 49, 11 and six yards, and it also featured a season-high-tying reception tally and a new high-water mark in targets. Given his recent body of work, Addison will head into a Week 15 divisional showdown against the Bears on Monday night, Dec. 16 with plenty of momentum.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Sleeper WRs

Addison only scored 9.4 PPR points in Week 13 against Arizona, but he still had six targets for four catches and 54 yards. That's now 23 targets in his past three games, and he scored at least 15.1 PPR points in previous two outings against Tennessee and Chicago. I expect him to get back on track in Week 14 against the Falcons, who are No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. Atlanta has allowed six touchdowns to receivers in the past four games, and six receivers have scored at least 13.3 PPR points against the Falcons over that span.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Four grabs against Cards

Addison caught four of six targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 23-22 win over the Cardinals. The second-year wideout did most of his damage early as Justin Jefferson faced his usual double and triple teams, but by the end of the day Addison was comfortably second on the Vikings in catches and receiving yards. Addison has seen at least five targets in five straight games, posting a 22-344-3 line on 33 targets over that stretch, and he'll look to stay productive in Week 14 against the Falcons.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Sleeper WRs

Addison is finally starting to get used like we hoped all season, and hopefully, he stays hot in Week 13 against the Cardinals. In his past two games against the Titans and Bears, Addison has 17 targets for 11 catches, 123 yards, and two touchdowns, and he scored at least 15.1 PPR points in each outing. There could be a squeaky wheel game coming for Justin Jefferson, which could impact Addison in a negative way, but given his recent spike in targets, he's worth using as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in the majority of leagues.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Past cramping from Sunday

Addison (leg) wasn't listed on the Vikings' initial Week 12 injury report posted Wednesday. Addison suffered from cramps in one of his legs during the fourth quarter this past Sunday at Tennessee, which forced him to miss the rest of the contest. He thus finished the Week 11 win with three catches (on eight targets) for 61 yards and one touchdown on a 60 percent snap share. With the issue now in the rear-view mirror, Addison is good to go ahead of Sunday's game at Chicago.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Fails to return due to leg cramping

Addison was unable to return to Sunday's 23-13 win over the Titans after he experienced cramping in one of his legs during the fourth quarter of the contest, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Due in part to the cramping issue, Addison played only 44 of the Vikings' 73 offensive snaps, with his 60 percent share marking his second-lowest rate of the season. The wideout still came through with three catches for 61 yards and a touchdown on eight targets before exiting the game. Addison should be ready to go for next Sunday's contest in Chicago, where he'll likely see his snap share rise back to its typical 80-to-95 percent range.
... See More ... See Less
  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Held quiet in win

Addison recorded two receptions on five targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 12-7 win over the Jaguars. Addison continues to struggle to command targets, as he's now surpassed five targets in only one of seven games this season. That's led to disappointing results that continued Sunday, as he was targeted deep down the field on a few occasions but managed to translate that into receptions of only 21 and four yards. Addison has more than 50 receiving yards in just two contests on the campaign, making him an unreliable fantasy option that is primarily dependent on big plays to produce.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Nabs TD on SNF

Addison corralled all five targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-13 win over the Colts. He added one rushing attempt for nine yards. The 22-year-old scored a touchdown for the first time since Week 4, helping bolster what has been a disappointing first half of the season. Addison's low-end production limits his fantasy value to deeper formats for next Sunday's tilt against Jacksonville.
... See More ... See Less
  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Another disappointing effort

Addison brought in two of three targets for 22 yards in the Vikings' 30-20 loss to the Rams on Thursday night. Addison was once again a bit player in the air attack, with the likes of Aaron Jones, Josh Oliver and Jalen Nailor all recording the same amount of receptions as the second-year wideout. Addison hasn't topped three receptions or 72 yards in any game this season, and he's now logged four or fewer targets in four of five contests. Addison's next opportunity to revert to his 2023 production comes in a favorable Week 9 home matchup against the Colts on Sunday night, Nov. 3.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Three grabs in loss

Addison brought in three of four targets for 66 yards in the Vikings' 31-29 loss to the Lions on Sunday. Addison was third or tied for that slotting in receptions, receiving yards and targets for the Vikings on the afternoon, but that resulted in relatively unremarkable production. The second-year wideout did manage a game-long 51-yard reception, and Addison's numbers were a marked improvement over his 36-yard tally in Week 5 against the Jets. Addison has exactly three catches in each of his first four games heading into a Week 8 road matchup against the Rams on Thursday night.
