Commanders' Nick Allegretti: Tracking toward starting role
Allegretti (elbow) appears in line for a starting role with the Commanders after signing as a free agent in the offseason, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.
The veteran guard started the Super Bowl for Kansas City with Joe Thuney out and suffered a UCL tear in that contest. However, Allegretti then signed a three-year, $16 million deal with Washington in March after playing in 74 games (13 starts) in five seasons with the Chiefs.
