Betting on the NBA Finals

Neither team had lost consecutive games this postseason until the Pacers dropped Games 4 and 5 to the Thunder. Indiana led for most of Game 4 and held a lead late before faltering late and losing 111-104. The Pacers got within two points in the fourth quarter of Game 5 before the Thunder pulled away for a 120-109 win amidst a lot of turnovers.

The series is back in Indiana, where the Pacers won Game 3 but dropped Game 4. In order to keep their season alive and force Game 7, they'll need another big win on their home court. What makes an already uphill battle even tougher is that Tyrese Haliburton, who has been a hero in many of Indiana's playoff wins this year, is dealing with a calf strain that played a large role in him scoring just four points in Game 5. If Haliburton is limited physically once again, the Pacers' chances of extending this series take an even bigger hit. 

MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has scored at least 31 points in four of the series' five games, but it was Jalen Williams who stole the show for OKC in Game 5 as he dropped a game-high 40 points for a new postseason high. He scored 26 points in Game 3 and then 27 in Game 4 to help the Thunder secure a late win. 

The Thunder are -250 money-line favorites at BetMGM (wager $250 to win $100) and Indiana is +200 (wager $100 to win $200). OCK is favored by 6.5 points, and the over/under is 221.5. 

Gilgeous-Alexander is the favorite to be Finals MVP at -650, followed by Williams (+650) and Pascal Siakam (+1500).
