  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Resting against southpaw

Dominguez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers. Dominguez is a switch hitter, but since he's slashing just .202/.280/.292 over 100 plate appearances versus lefties this season, he'll head to the bench Monday while southpaw Patrick Corbin starts for the Rangers. The right-handed-hitting Austin Slater will step in for Dominguez in left field.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Swipes two bags in three-hit game

Dominguez went 3-for-4 with a walk, two stolen bases, two runs and one RBI in Friday's 13-12 loss to the Marlins. Dominguez's power has gone missing of late -- he's collected just three extra-base hits in 17 games since swatting a pair of home runs July 4 against the Mets -- but he's been able to prop up his fantasy value by contributing on the basepaths and increasing his contact rate. After swiping two bags Friday, Dominguez is now up to 18 steals on the season, and the three-hit performance boosted his average to .266. Dominguez's 27 percent strikeout rate and elevated .349 BABIP point to some regression in the batting-average category, though he's made some improvements in the former area since the All-Star break with a 17.4 percent strikeout rate over 11 second-half games.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Clubs homer in loss

Dominguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Toronto on Wednesday. Dominguez kicked off the scoring with a 380-foot solo blast in the second inning. It was his first long ball since he went deep twice July 4, and the homer also snapped a four-game hitless streak during which he went 0-for-16. The slump has resulted in Dominguez falling into a part-time role in the outfield, as he's started three times in the Yankees' past five games.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Sitting out Tuesday

Dominguez is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Toronto. The Blue Jays are starting right-hander Max Scherzer, marking the first time over the Yankees' last eight contests versus righties that the switch-hitting Dominguez has been out of the lineup. Cody Bellinger will patrol left field and Trent Grisham will be in center field for the Yankees.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Resting Saturday

Dominguez isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs. Dominguez will get a breather Saturday after going 2-for-5 with two runs scored and three strikeouts during Friday's 11-0 rout of Chicago. Cody Bellinger will shift to left field as a result, opening up center field for Trent Grisham.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Drives in three in loss

Dominguez went 1-for-5 with three RBI in Tuesday's 12-5 loss to the Blue Jays. A two-run single in the first inning and a fielder's choice in the ninth that brought home Aaron Judge bookended the scoring for the Yankees. The three RBI equaled Dominguez's total from his prior 26 games combined, and his homer drought now stands at 31 contests. Despite that lack of production, the 22-year-old should have a regular spot in the lineup while Trent Grisham (hamstring) is sidelined.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Absent from lineup

Dominguez is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cincinnati. Dominguez is one of a handful of Yankees players to see their playing time cut since Giancarlo Stanton was activated, as Dominguez has now started five of nine contests since Stanton returned. Cody Bellinger is in left field Tuesday.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Resting for series finale

Dominguez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles. Dominguez started in left field in the first two contests of the series and went 2-for-6 with two walks, two runs and an RBI, but he'll hit the bench as the Yankees and Orioles close out their three-game set Sunday. The Yankees will roll out a starting outfield of Cody Bellinger, Trent Grisham and Aaron Judge from left to right in the finale, while Giancarlo Stanton re-enters the lineup at designated hitter after resting Saturday.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: On bench for series finale

Dominguez is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels. The switch-hitting Dominguez has been far more effective against righties (126 wRC+ in 156 plate appearances) than lefties (54 wRC+ in 76 plate appearances), so his absence from the lineup Thursday while the Angels send lefty Tyler Anderson to the hill comes as little surprise. Despite his success against right-handed pitching, Dominguez may find himself more of a part-time starter in those matchups, with the recent return of Giancarlo Stanton from the injured list closing off a potential avenue to playing time at designated hitter.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Getting turn in leadoff spot

Dominguez will start in left field and bat leadoff in Tuesday's game versus the Angels. Dominguez was out of the lineup Monday upon Giancarlo Stanton's return from the injured list, but he's back in there Tuesday and will occupy a prime spot in the lineup. It's the first time this season batting higher than fifth.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Omitted from starting nine

Dominguez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels. After going 2-for-15 at the dish while starting in each of the Yankees' last four games, Dominguez will head to the bench Monday as the Angels send right-hander Jose Soriano to the hill. With Giancarlo Stanton (elbows) making his return from the 60-day injured list and likely to see the bulk of the starts at designated hitter moving forward, Dominguez's opportunities to play against right-handed pitching could become more limited.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Left out of lineup

Dominguez is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's tilt in Kansas City. He's on the bench for the second time over the last three games after starting three straight prior to that. Cody Bellinger, Trent Grisham and Aaron Judge will form the Yankees' outfield trio Wednesday.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Back in action Thursday

Dominguez (thumb) will start in left field and bat seventh Thursday against the Guardians. Dominguez missed each of New York's last two contests while recovering from a jammed thumb he suffered Sunday. Now that he's comfortable swinging a bat again, he'll rejoin the starting nine Thursday and aim to stay hot after collecting a base hit in each of his last four games.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Considered day-to-day

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that he's optimistic Dominguez's left thumb injury is "just a couple of days thing," Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports. Dominguez's thumb is swollen after he jammed it while stealing a base in Sunday's game versus the Dodgers, but the injury "seems like it's gotten better every day," per Boone. The rookie outfielder is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Guardians but is considered day-to-day.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Exits early Sunday

Dominguez exited Sunday's contest against the Dodgers in the top of the sixth inning with a left thumb contusion, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports. Dominguez drew a walk to open the top of the fifth frame, ultimately swiping second base for his eighth steal of the year. The outfielder did however sustain a left thumb injury on his slide into second base, and he was replaced at the plate by Cody Bellinger in his next go-around the following inning. Dominguez can be considered day-to-day for the time being ahead of New York's day off Monday.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Idle Friday

Dominguez isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers. Dominguez will grab a seat on the bench Friday after going 1-for-7 with three strikeouts in two games against the Angels. Ben Rice will serve as New York's designated hitter and bat fifth.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Sitting Tuesday

Dominguez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels. Dominguez has started the Yankees' past six games since May 21 but will get some rest Tuesday. He went 4-for-19 with a home run, three RBI, two stolen bases, three walks and five strikeouts during the six-game stretch. Ben Rice will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth with Dominguez on the bench.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Slugs walk-off homer Wednesday

Dominguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-3 win against the Rangers on Wednesday. Dominguez ended the game with his first career walk-off home run, a solo blast to right field off Rangers closer Luke Jackson. The long ball was Dominguez's first since he blasted three homers against the Athletics on May 9. He's up to six home runs on the campaign along with 22 RBI, 25 runs, four stolen bases and a .778 OPS through 159 plate appearances.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Absent from Tuesday's lineup

Dominguez is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Rangers. Dominguez had started each of the previous five contests but will get a night off Tuesday as the Yankees continue to juggle their outfield and designated hitter mix. Cody Bellinger is covering left field and Ben Rice will be the DH.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: On bench Friday

Dominguez is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Rays. Dominguez is batting .171 (6-for-41) with 19 strikeouts across his past 11 games and will sit Friday for the second time in the Yankees' last three contests. Cody Bellinger will again shift to left field while Trent Grisham starts in center.
