  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Registers two steals

Tatis went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and one run scored in Saturday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Red Sox. Tatis had gone nine games without a multi-hit performance. His pair of thefts Saturday also marked his first successful steal attempts since July 18 versus the Nationals. The outfielder is now at a .259/.361/.429 slash line, 17 home runs, 24 steals, 45 RBI, 80 runs scored, 19 doubles and two triples over 114 contests. He's been in a lower gear since mid-June, but he still offers enough category coverage to be a fixture in most fantasy lineups.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Not starting Wednesday

Tatis isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks. Tatis will get a rare off day Wednesday after going just 2-for-21 with an RBI and three runs scored through the first five games of August. While he regroups, Ryan O'Hearn will cover right field and bat fifth.

He's also made the most of his chances on base, picking up five steals during the hot stretch, which has seen him collect just four extra-base hits. Tatis enters the All-Star break with a .269/.366/.451 slash line, and he's added 21 steals, 16 home runs, 42 RBI and 65 runs scored over 94 games this season.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Reaches 20-steal mark

Tatis went 2-for-3 with a walk, one RBI and one stolen base in Friday's 4-2 win over the Phillies. Tatis is up to 20 steals on the year, including five of them over his last 15 games. The outfielder was far less active on the basepaths in 2024, logging just 11 thefts on 14 attempts, so it's a positive that he's returned to a higher volume of steals in 2025. He's logged three multi-hit efforts over the last six games to get his average back up to .266, and Tatis has added an .812 OPS with 16 home runs, 42 RBI and 64 runs scored through 92 contests.

Tatis is 10-for-33 (.303) with four extra-base hits and two stolen bases across nine games to begin July. For the season, the star outfielder is up to a .262/.358/.450 slash line with 16 homers, 41 RBI, 64 runs scored, 19 stolen bases, 13 doubles and two triples over 91 games. He's primarily served as San Diego's leadoff hitter and could threaten for his first 30-30 season with a strong second half.

Tatis went 2-for-3 with an RBI double, two walks, one stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers. Tatis set the table well from the leadoff spot, where he's been for all five games in July after a brief drop to the cleanup spot in late June. He's gone 6-for-19 (.316) to begin this month, adding two stolen bases and five walks, which is a positive sign that he's shaking off the slump that he went through in the second half of June. Overall, Tatis is at a .261/.355/.444 slash line with 15 home runs, 19 steals, 39 RBI, 62 runs scored, 12 doubles and two triples across 87 contests.

Tatis went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in a loss to the Nationals on Monday. Tatis notched just one hit, but he certainly made it count, slugging a 435-foot, three-run shot in the ninth inning. The star outfielder appears to be getting his power stroke back, belting two home runs over his past three contests following a 21-game homer drought. Tatis is still batting jut .125 (3-for-24) over his past seven contests, however.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Blasts homer in win

Tatis went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Royals. Tatis gave the Padres some breathing room with his two-out homer in the seventh inning. His slump at the plate had reached 15 hitless at-bats prior to the long ball, which was his first homer since May 27 versus the Marlins. In that 21-game power drought, he batted .237 and slugged .289, though his 15:13 BB:K in that span helped him get on base at a .383 clip. Overall, Tatis is at a .268/.357/.461 slash line with 14 homers, 34 RBI, 56 runs scored and 15 stolen bases over 74 contests this season.

Tatis is up to a .277/.356/.473 slash line with 13 home runs, 31 RBI, 11 doubles, one triple and 52 runs scored through 68 games. He looks to have put his quieter stretches from late May and early June behind him.

The outfielder has made the most of his trips on base, racking up five steals over his last 11 games despite batting .171 (7-for-41) with eight walks in that span. He's batting .260 with a .796 OPS, 13 steals, 13 home runs, 28 RBI and 44 runs scored over 63 contests this season.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Seems to be emerging from slump

Tatis went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and a stolen base in a loss to the Giants on Wednesday. Tatis batted a paltry .184 in May, and he opened June with an 0-for-3 effort against the Pirates. However, he's looked better over his subsequent three contests, notching at least one hit in each game and going a combined 5-for-12 with two walks and three steals during that span. Despite Tatis' struggles last month, he still holds a healthy .830 OPS on the campaign, and he remains a dual power-speed threat with 13 homers and 12 thefts through 59 games.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: On base three times in win

Tatis went 1-for-3 with two walks, one stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Giants. Tatis helped keep the line moving as the Padres put together a comeback in the ninth inning. He's still in a bit of a rough patch at the plate, going just 3-for-21 with five walks over his last six games, though he's also logged three steals in that span. Looking back further, he has just one multi-hit effort in his last 21 games, a span in which he's hitting a meager .169 (14-for-83). This extended quiet spell has him at a .265/.340/.478 slash line on the year, and he's added 11 steals, 13 home runs, 28 RBI and 41 runs scored over 58 contests.

Tatis struggled to close out May, going 5-for-41 (.122) with two extra-base hits, two steals and a 3:10 BB:K over his last 10 games of the month. The ongoing rut has him down to a .269/.338/.491 slash line with 13 home runs, 28 RBI, 39 runs scored, seven doubles and a triple through 55 contests overall.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Smacks homer Tuesday

Tatis went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-6 win over the Marlins. The Padres found themselves down 6-0 before they got an at-bat, but Tatis made sure to crack the goose egg quickly, leading off the bottom of the first inning with a homer. This was his first long ball since May 18 versus the Mariners. The outfielder is up to 13 homers, 28 RBI, 38 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a .278/.344/.512 slash line through 52 contests this season. He continues to provide well-rounded contributions in fantasy while regularly batting leadoff for San Diego.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Pops early homer in loss

Tatis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Mariners. Tatis gave the Padres a positive start, but his leadoff homer in the first inning was not a sign of things to come against Seattle starter Bryan Woo. Tatis has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, going 12-for-45 (.267) with four homers and nine RBI in that span. The outfielder is now at a .304/.375/.561 slash line with 12 homers, 27 RBI, 37 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 44 contests this season. He continues to thrive out of the leadoff spot for the Padres, though he has cooled down just a little compared to his fantastic first month of the season.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Joins offensive onslaught

Tatis went 2-for-4 with a home run, three total runs, three total RBI and a walk in Saturday's 21-0 thrashing of the Rockies. To put things in perspective, every one of San Diego's starters got at least one hit Saturday, and Tatis was one of five players on the team to rack up at least three RBI. He also hit one of the squad's five homers, belting a three-run shot in the fifth inning. The long ball snapped a 15-game homerless stretch for Tatis, and the three RBI matched the total amount of runs batted in that he had accumulated during that span.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Steals third, scores go-ahead run

Tatis went 1-for-4 with a steal and a run scored in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Pirates. Tatis was removed from Friday's game after being hit by a pitch on his left forearm, but he was cleared to play Saturday and was instrumental in the Padres' win. He opened the ninth inning with a double, and after stealing third base, he came home for the go-ahead run on a wild pitch from David Bednar. Tatis has started the season strongly, and his batting average (.342) and OPS (1.012) are both second best in the National League behind Pete Alonso (.345 and 1.137, respectively).
