  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Superb performance in 12th win

Rodon (12-7) earned the win Tuesday against the Twins, allowing one run on one hit and two walks in seven innings. He struck out five. Rodon gave up one run on one hit and one walk in a shaky first inning, but he more than settled in and was just about untouchable from that point on. Tuesday also represented the first instance since his July 11 start in which the All-Star left-hander pitched at least seven innings, and Rodon now sports a 3.25 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 164:58 K:BB over 146.2 frames. His next outing is slated for next week in Tampa Bay against the Rays, who have a .604 OPS versus left-handed pitching since the beginning of July.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: No-decision in Texas

Rodon came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Rangers, giving up two runs on six hits and four walks over five-plus innings. He struck out three. The veteran lefty once again struggled to get the ball over the plate consistently, issuing at least three free passes for the fifth time in his last seven starts. Over that stretch, Rodon has produced a 4.50 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 40:22 K:BB in 38 innings. He'll try to tighten things up in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Twins.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Uneven showing in no-decision

Rodon took a no-decision in Friday's 13-12 loss to the Marlins, allowing four earned runs on two hits and five walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out nine. Rodon threw four hitless innings to open his outing, but he ended up getting blasted for four runs in the fifth frame to leave a considerable knock on his ledger. While the All-Star southpaw failed to fire at least five frames for the first time in 2025 while also issuing five free passes, he did come just one strikeout short of tying his season high. Rodon still owns a strong 3.34 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 156:52 K:BB across 134.2 frames, but things aren't likely to get much easier his next time out, when he's expected to face the AL West-leading Astros in The Bronx.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Grabs 11th win

Rodon (11-7) earned the win Sunday over the Phillies, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out eight. Rodon held the Phillies to just four hits Sunday, though three were solo home runs. Still, the Yankees managed to hang on for a one-run victory and give Rodon his 11th win this season, tied for third-most in the majors. The left-hander sports a 3.18 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP and 147:47 K:BB across 22 starts (130 innings) this season. Rodon is currently lined up to face the Marlins on the road in his next outing.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Struggles with control in loss

Rodon (10-7) took the loss Monday against the Blue Jays, giving up four runs (two earned) on six hits and five walks in five innings. He struck out four. The five walks were a season high for Rodon, whose six hits allowed were his most since his June 14 start in Boston. The four strikeouts also tied a season low, but Rodon was able to complete at least five innings for the 21st time in as many starts despite having to fire his second-most pitches (107) of the year. Rodon will bring a strong 3.10 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 139:46 K:BB across 124.2 frames into his next scheduled outing in Philadelphia against the Phillies, who have a robust .818 OPS versus left-handed pitching since the start of July.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Dominates for win No. 10

Rodon (10-6) picked up the win Friday over the Cubs after giving up four hits and a walk while striking out eight batters over eight scoreless innings. After giving up seven runs to the Mets in his last start, Rodon looked like a completely different pitcher Friday. He terrorized the Cubs' lineup for eight innings, generating 17 whiffs in the process. A trio of home runs from Cody Bellinger highlighted a Yankees offense that gave Rodon more than enough support, and a couple of web gems from Aaron Judge helped keep the shutout intact. Although Rodon fell just short of his first complete game as a Yankee, his brilliant conclusion to the first half will give him a 3.08 ERA headed into the break.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Hit hard by crosstown rivals

Rodon (9-6) took the loss against the Mets on Saturday, allowing seven runs (six earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out four batters over five innings. Rodon struggled from the get-go, as he gave up a grand slam to Brandon Nimmo in the first inning. The southpaw surrendered another homer -- this time a two-run shot by Pete Alonso -- in the fifth frame, so the long ball was the main culprit in Rodon yielding a season-worst six earned runs. The veteran hurler still has a respectable 3.30 ERA on the campaign, but that mark is a much less desirable 5.34 across his past six starts. Rodon will try to rebound his next time out, though he's lined up for another tough matchup against the Cubs.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Goes five frames in no-decision

Rodon did not factor into the decision in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays. He allowed two runs on five hits and three walks over five innings with four strikeouts. The New York southpaw did not have his sharpest stuff in this 96-pitch outing, as he generated only seven whiffs. Rodon equaled his season low with just four four Ks, previously set June 8 at Boston. Despite his struggles, the 32-year-old managed to hold the Toronto lineup relatively in check, yielding three singles and two doubles. Rodon will carry a 2.95 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 123:37 K:BB across 106.2 total innings into his next start, which currently lines up to be at the Mets this weekend.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Six shutout innings in Cincinnati

Rodon took a no-decision Tuesday against Cincinnati, giving up no runs on four hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out five. It was the sixth scoreless start of the season for Rodon, who has spun at least six innings each time he's accomplished this feat. The veteran southpaw has now thrown at least five innings in each of his 17 outings, and he's punched out at least five in all but one of those appearances. Rodon will carry a stellar 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 119:34 K:BB over 101.2 innings into his next scheduled start against the Blue Jays, who are hitting a torrid .314 versus left-handed pitching since and including May 28.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Back in win column

Rodon (9-5) earned the win Thursday over the Angels, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out seven. Rodon gave up three home runs Thursday, though they were all solo shots, as the left-hander eventually settled in to record the win and a quality start. Overall, it was a much-needed return to form for Rodon, who had dropped his previous two outings, allowing eight runs over 10 innings in that span. Rodon's ERA sits at 3.10 through 16 starts (95.2 innings) this season with a 0.98 WHIP and 114:33 K:BB. He's currently lined up to face the Reds on the road in his next outing.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Loses to Boston again

Rodon (8-5) took the loss against the Red Sox on Saturday, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out four batters over five-plus innings. Rodon yielded an unearned run in the first inning before getting through the next two frames unscathed. He then surrendered a single run in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, with the final tally charged to his stat line after he departed. The veteran hurler did induce an impressive 16 whiffs, but those led to just four punchouts -- his fewest in any appearance this season. Rodon has lost to Boston in each of his past two starts, giving up nine runs (eight earned) over 10 frames during that stretch. Prior to those two outings, the left-hander had been cruising, going 7-0 with a 1.27 ERA across nine starts from April 18 to June 3. To his fantasy managers' relief, Rodon won't face Boston again in his next start -- he's slated for a home matchup against the Angels next week.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Win streak at seven

Rodon (8-3) picked up the win in Tuesday's 3-2 victory over the Guardians, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out eight. The veteran southpaw was locked in a pitchers' duel with Tanner Bibee most of the way, but back-to-back solo shots by Jazz Chisholm and Anthony Volpe to lead off the bottom of the seventh broke open a 1-1 tie. Rodon has won seven straight decisions, with his last loss coming back on April 13, and during his undefeated stretch he's rattled off seven quality starts in nine trips to the mound with a 1.27 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 70:15 K:BB in 56.2 innings. He'll look for his eighth straight win in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Red Sox.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Punches out 10 in win

Rodon (7-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing five hits and no walks over seven scoreless innings against the Angels. He struck out 10. Rodon was masterful Tuesday, matching his season highs in innings and strikeouts. After a good but not great 2024 that culminated in a 3.96 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 175 innings, the 32-year-old is off to a fantastic start in 2025. Through 12 starts this year, the left-hander owns a stellar 2.60 ERA and 0.94 WHIP across 72.2 innings. With Rodon and Max Fried, the Yankees boast an elite duo at the top of their rotation.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Fans eight in win

Rodon (6-3) notched another win after throwing six shutout innings Thursday against the Rangers. He allowed just two hits and walked two batters while striking out eight. In a game where the only offense of the day came via a Jorbit Vivas solo homer, Rodon turned in perhaps his best performance of the season. After Thursday's gem, he's now surrendered one or fewer runs in three of his last four starts, including two scoreless outings. The 32-year-old has struck out 28 batters over that four-game stretch and 80 for the season, which is tied for sixth in MLB.

Rodon is slated to face the Rangers at home next week.

  • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Retires first 15 batters in win

Rodon (4-3) earned the win against the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings. While a returning Kyle Gibson struggled in his 2025 debut, Rodon pitched a perfect five innings before issuing a walk and a run in the sixth. Rodon yielded another run in the seventh inning on a Gunnar Henderson solo shot, which prompted the former's removal from Tuesday's game. Rodon has logged three quality starts in a row and sports a 3.43 ERA and 0.98 WHIP over 42 innings, and his 52 punchouts rank third in the majors behind MacKenzie Gore (59) and Zack Wheeler (57). • Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Takes line drive off pitching arm

Rodon took a line drive off the bat of Ketel Marte in the fifth inning of Wednesday night's loss to the Diamondbacks, and while he had a bruise and wrap on his arm, an X-ray on the arm came back clean, Gary Phillips of The New York Daily News reports. Rodon allowed four early runs, but he ultimately retired the last 10 batters he faced to complete six innings, giving up three hits and four walks while striking out five. Rodon also struggled with his velocity early on, averaging 93 mph for the start after averaging 94.5 mph Opening Day. He was also seen looking at his pitching hand throughout the start. "I tend to look pretty often," Rodon said of his frequent glances toward Yankee Stadium's radar gun, "but definitely down velo today. A little cold, just slow to get moving, but I'm not super worried about it."
