  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Hot streak continues with long ball

Lindor went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 9-3 loss to Washington. Lindor's incredible run continued, as he ran his hitting streak up to nine games and logged multiple knocks for the sixth time during that period. The All-Star shortstop has four homers, four doubles and two stolen bases over these last nine outings as well. Since the start of August, Lindor is batting a torrid .356 with five long balls, six doubles and 13 RBI covering 73 at-bats.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Tallies three hits in win

Lindor went 3-for-5 with an RBI double in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Mariners in the Little League Classic. Lindor was productive with the bat, but he had a poor showing on the basepaths. His two singles resulted in him getting picked off and caught stealing before he was finally able to get to second base with his fifth-inning double that generated the Mets' last run of the game. Lindor has hit safely in six straight games, and his last five efforts have all included multiple hits, which is a strong bounce-back after his five-game hitless stretch earlier in August. For the season, he's at a .259/.327/.455 slash line, 24 home runs, 20 stolen bases, 71 RBI and 82 runs scored over 122 contests.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Goes yard twice Friday

Lindor went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 11-9 loss to the Mariners. The shortstop made an early impact, taking Luis Castillo deep in the first and fourth innings, but New York's pitching couldn't hold the lead Lindor helped build. While the fading Mets are still clinging to a playoff spot, Lindor may be heating up at the right time to save their season. Over 13 games in August, he's slashing .314/.417/.608 with three doubles, four homers, two steals, 10 RBI and 14 runs.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Homers, steals base

Lindor went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a stolen base during Thursday's 4-3 loss to Atlanta. Lindor flashed his speed and power during Thursday's loss, recording his 22nd homer of the campaign and his 19th stolen base. He's now logged back-to-back multi-hit games after enduring a 1-for-23 (.043) stretch at the plate. The 31-year-old shortstop is slashing .249/.320/.435 in 540 plate appearances this season.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: On base four times in loss

Lindor went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double and two runs scored in Wednesday's loss to Atlanta. The shortstop has had trouble making a consistent impact with his bat since the All-Star break, but Lindor is at least still getting on base. Through 11 games so far in August, he's compiled a .238/.373/.381 slash line with three doubles, one homer, one steal, five RBI and 10 runs.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Pops 21st homer

Lindor went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Giants. The shortstop gave the Mets an early lead by launching his 21st homer of the year off Carson Whisenhunt in the first inning, but things unraveled quickly for New York after that in a 12-4 rout. Lindor has found a groove at the plate again, slashing .310/.370/.524 over the last 10 games with three doubles, two homers, one steal, seven runs and nine RBI.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Tallies three hits, four RBI

Lindor went 3-for-4 with a double, a run, a walk and four RBI in a 12-6 rout of San Francisco on Saturday. Lindor tallied his first RBI on a bunt single in the fourth inning, added a traditional single for another RBI in the sixth and capped his production with a two-run double in the seventh. The star shortstop notched his 12th three-hit game of the season and recorded his second four-RBI performance. Lindor had been cold coming into Saturday, going 4-for-26 with only one RBI over his previous six contests, so perhaps his bat is back on the right track.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Does it all in win

Lindor went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, a stolen base and three runs scored in Friday's 8-1 win over the Giants. Lindor has posted consecutive multi-hit efforts after enduring an 0-for-28 slump over the six games prior to this rebound. The shortstop's third-inning homer Friday was his 20th long ball of the year, a mark he's now reached in each of the last eight full-length seasons. He's added a .252/.318/.443 slash line with 58 RBI, 68 runs scored, 19 doubles and 17 steals through 102 contests.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Breaks out of slump

Lindor went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the Angels. The shortstop had gone 0-for-28 over the prior six games, but Lindor's bat snapped to life with RBI singles in the third and fourth innings. The slump has left Lindor with a .200/.259/.360 slash line over 18 contests in July, but he's remained productive with three homers, three steals, 14 runs and 14 RBI in that same span.

The home run was 19th of the season for the All-Star shortstop, who is slashing .263/.335/.465 on the year.

Lindor went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double, four runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the Yankees. The top of the Mets' order carried the day in a 12-6 romp, with Lindor helping to set the table for Pete Alonso (two homers, five RBI) and Brandon Nimmo (second grand slam in four days). The steal was Lindor's first since June 7, and on the season the All-Star shortstop is slashing .261/.332/.455 with 17 homers, 14 pilfers, 47 RBI and 57 runs in 88 contests.

Lindor went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and three total RBI in a 7-3 win over the Brewers in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader. Lindor extended New York's lead to 5-0 in the second inning with a solo shot off Jacob Misiorowski, his 17th homer this year and first of three hits in the nightcap. It was a much-needed performance from Lindor, who'd gone just 2-for-29 in his previous seven contests. The 31-year-old shortstop, who was announced as an All-Star prior to the game, is now slashing .261/.330/.457 with 46 RBI, 52 runs scored and 13 stolen bases through 385 plate appearances this season.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Homer, three RBI in win

Lindor went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Saturday's 11-4 win over the Phillies. Lindor smacked a solo home run in the third inning and narrowly missed another on a two-run double in the sixth. It was a much-needed breakout for the shortstop, who had been mired in an 0-for-18 slump over his previous five games. For the season, he's slashing .267/.340/.463 with 15 homers, 41 RBI, 48 runs scored and 13 steals across 341 plate appearances.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Three hits, two steals in return

Lindor (toe) went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Rockies. Lindor was out of the lineup due to a broken right pinkie toe over the previous two days. He came off the bench Friday and resumed a starting role at shortstop Saturday. Considering he swiped two bags in this contest, there should be minimal concern about his injured toe going forward. The shortstop has hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games, going 17-for-48 (.354) in that span. He's up to a .289/.360/.498 slash line with 14 home runs, 13 steals, 38 RBI and 42 runs scored over 63 contests this season.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Back in action

Lindor (toe) is leading off and playing shortstop Saturday against the Rockies. Lindor broke his right pinkie toe during Wednesday's matchup against the Dodgers. He was out of the lineup for two consecutive games as a result but was able to enter Friday's contest as a pinch hitter and delivered a two-run double. Lindor is now back in the lineup and in his customary leadoff spot.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Two-run double as pinch hitter

Lindor (toe) went 1-for-1 with a two-run double in Friday's 4-2 win over the Rockies. Lindor was held out of the Mets' starting lineup due to a broken right pinkie toe, but he was brought in as a pinch hitter for the ninth inning with the game tied 2-2. He didn't waste time making his presence felt, as he smacked the second pitch of the at-bat to right field to bring home Pete Alonso and Juan Soto before being replaced by Luisangel Acuna to run the bases. Despite the injury, Lindor could be back in the lineup at some point during the weekend series, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Out of lineup Friday

Lindor (toe) isn't part of the starting nine for Friday's game against the Rockies. Lindor is dealing with a broken right pinkie toe and isn't expected to require a stint on the injured list. However, he's not feeling well enough to start Friday, so Ronny Mauricio will fill in at shortstop. It's unknown when Lindor will be back in action, as it's entirely up to his pain tolerance. Per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, manager Carlos Mendoza said Friday that he wouldn't be surprised if Lindor returned sometime this weekend.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Not expected to need IL stint

Lindor (toe) isn't viewed as a candidate for a trip to the injured list, Will Sammon of the Athletic reports. The All-Star shortstop was plunked by a Tony Gonsolin slider Wednesday that broke the pinkie toe on his right foot, and pain tolerance will determine how quickly Lindor can get back on the field. "I think it's going to be a nagging thing," he said before Thursday's game. "It's a bone; it's a broken bone. I think it takes six weeks for a bone to be fully healed." Luisangel Acuna got the start at shortstop Thursday and should hold down the starting job until Lindor is ready to return. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza indicated Lindor wasn't available to pinch hit Thursday, but it's not clear if that was simply a precaution, or if he will need multiple days off before getting back into the lineup.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Not in lineup Thursday

Lindor is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Dodgers. As Anthony DiComo of MLB.com notes, Lindor looked to be in considerable pain after being hit in the foot by a pitch in Wednesday's 6-1 win in the top of the first inning, but he ended up staying in the game while finishing the night 0-for-4 with a run. The Mets haven't indicated that Lindor is still hurting a day later, but the veteran shortstop will nonetheless receive just his second day off of the season in any case. Luisangel Acuna will fill in for Lindor at shortstop.
