Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Assumes starting role
Nembhard amassed eight points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 11 minutes during Tuesday's preseason win over Minnesota.
As expected, Nembhard started at the point guard position for the Pacers, taking on the role as a result of Tyrese Haliburton's Achilles injury. While he wasn't overly productive, Nembhard certainly looked comfortable running the offense, playing on and off the ball as required. He is going to be in the discussion for the Most Improved Player award this season and should be looking at upwards of 32 minutes per game on most nights.

Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Plays well in loss
Nembhard finished with 15 points (4-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds and six assists across 37 minutes during Sunday's 103-91 loss to the Thunder in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
Nembhard made quite a name for himself during this run to the NBA Finals, but the Pacers ultimately came up one win short. To make matters worse, Tyrese Haliburton suffered an Achilles tear during the game. That means in 2025-26, the Pacers could lean heavily on Nembhard in the backcourt. The 25-year-old guard appeared in 65 regular-season contests in 2024-25, posting averages of 10.0 points, 5.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 0.8 three-pointers.

Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Notches 11 points

Nembhard, who was a hero in the Game 1 win for his clutch jumper in the fourth quarter, was mostly kept in check Sunday as the Thunder evened the series at one win apiece. Nembhard has certainly made a name for himself in the postseason, posting averages of 12.8 points, 5.1 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals on 46.7 percent shooting from the field.
